About the Course
This is the first CEU in the Interdisciplinary Collaboration Professional Development Series.
With the inception of the new Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts (BACB, 2020), Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) must ensure that they are familiar with the updated standards. The Ethics Code guides practitioners around four foundational principles: benefiting others, treating others with compassion, dignity, and respect, behaving with integrity, and ensuring competence. On paper, many of these standards appear straightforward, but ethical questions that arise in practice often have many competing contingencies and stakeholders to consider. The focus of this event will be to highlight changes made from the 2016 Professional and Ethical Compliance Code to the current 2022 Ethics Code. In addition, resources will be identified that BCBAs can use proactively to ensure they are following the standards, as well as steps to take if one does find themselves in an ethical dilemma.
The cost for the CEU event is $10. The proceeds benefit Bierman STARS which helps fund pro-bono services to families struggling to access services.
